Overview

Wrench Group is experiencing significant growth across our partner brands, creating a unique leadership opportunity for a Senior Vice President of Operations to join and help scale one of our flagship companies, Ragsdale.

 

For over 30 years, Ragsdale has built a trusted reputation in the Atlanta market for delivering exceptional HVAC, plumbing, and electrical services. Our success is rooted in a strong culture—one centered around accountability, teamwork, and an unwavering commitment to doing what’s right for our customers and our people.

 

We are seeking a hands-on, growth-oriented operator who will partner closely with the current President/founder to lead day-to-day operations, strengthen organizational performance, and drive the next phase of growth. This role is designed as a succession opportunity, with the expectation to transition into the President role over time.

Responsibilities

Who ARE You?

 

 

Leadership and Management:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction to the operational functions of the organization.
  • Build and lead a high-performing operational team.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative working culture within the organization

Operational Oversight:

  • Develop, implement, and monitor operational policies and procedures.
  • Streamline and optimize business processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Ensure effective utilization of resources and technology to support operations.

Financial Management:

  • Collaborate with the CFO or finance team to develop and manage the operational budget.
  • Monitor financial performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement cost-saving and margin improvement measures.

Strategic Planning:

  • Work closely with other leadership partners to contribute to the development and execution of the overall business strategy.
  • Translate strategic objectives into operational plans and initiatives.

Communication:

  • Foster effective communication channels across different departments and levels within the organization.
  • Report regularly to stakeholders on operational performance and key metrics.

Business Development:

  • Collaborate with other executives to identify and pursue business growth opportunities.
  • Assess the feasibility of new projects and initiatives from an operational standpoint.

Customer Focus:

  • Ensure a customer-centric approach in operational activities to enhance customer experience.
  • Monitor and improve customer service processes to ensure the long standing great reputation is preserved long term.

Technology and Innovation:

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage technology for operational improvements and innovation.

Performance Measurement:

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success of operational objectives.
  • Regularly assess and report on the performance of operational processes.

Crisis Management:

  • Develop and implement contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges and crises.
  • Lead the organization with resilience and adaptability.

 

Qualifications

We are seeking a proven leader with:

  • 10+ years of leadership experience in residential home services (HVAC, plumbing, electrical)

  • Demonstrated success leading $50M+ service businesses

  • A track record of year-over-year growth, operational improvement, and team development

  • Strong financial acumen (P&L ownership, forecasting, margin improvement)

  • The ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution

  • A leadership style that drives accountability, culture, and performance
