Overview

As a Preventative Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks and inspections on heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems to ensure they operate efficiently and reliably. Your work will directly contribute to minimizing downtime, improving system performance, and extending the lifespan of HVAC equipment for our clients.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance on heating and air conditioning systems, ensuring all components are functioning correctly and efficiently.

  • Inspect HVAC equipment, including air filters, coils, belts, compressors, and other components, to detect and prevent potential failures.

  • Clean and service HVAC systems to ensure maximum efficiency and compliance with safety standards.

  • Maintain detailed records of inspections, services performed, and parts used, ensuring all reports are complete and accurate.

  • Troubleshoot and diagnose HVAC system issues during routine inspections and make necessary adjustments or repairs as needed.

  • Provide customers with feedback on the condition of their HVAC systems and recommend repairs or replacements when necessary.

  • Work with the team to ensure a high standard of customer satisfaction and maintain positive client relationships.

  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

  • Stay updated on industry trends, new products, and best practices related to HVAC system maintenance.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 1 years of experience in HVAC maintenance or education

  • EPA Certification (Section 608) preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including electrical components, cooling systems, and refrigeration.

  • Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC equipment.

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Must be physically able to perform maintenance tasks, including lifting equipment and working in various weather conditions.
